As an industry association, IIMA is cognisant of the need for strict compliance with competition law and anti-trust regulations (see our Code of Conduct). IIMA members take their responsibilities seriously, both where their IIMA membership is concerned (see our Articles of Association), but also in the wider context of good corporate citizenship. In particular:
IIMA acknowledges the need for a measured transition to a low emissions global economy and recognises that comprehensive and sustained actions are required to achieve this goal. Therefore, as a member of the World Steel Association (worldsteel) and the International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM), IIMA encourages its members to support the aims and goals of the environmental and climate change initiatives of these organisations.
